Director of Missions - Fred Caudle

Pastor Fred Caudle was born in Altus, Oklahoma.  At the age of 10, he accepted Christ as Lord and Savior and was baptized on June 16, 1976.  He moved to Maryland with his parents in August of 1979 and joined in membership of First Baptist Church of St. Charles (FBCSC) the same year.  After graduating high school and college, he led the youth department and served as Deacon from 1993-1998.

Pastor Caudle served in the Army and Army Reserves for a combined 10 years of duty.  During his time in the Army Reserves and after, he held the position of CEO in a local non-profit company and owned a retail partnership.  At the age of 33, Pastor Caudle knew that God was speaking to him again to preach His word.  He served as Interim and bi-vocational minister from October 2002 to March 2004, and then was permanently called to serve as Senior Pastor, which he has held to present.

Pastor Caudle was called to lead the Potomac Baptist Association (PBA) as Co-Vocational Director of Mission (DOM) on October 28, 2021.  He has participated as an active member church of PBA since 1979 as a youth to young adult and served various positions of leadership in the PBA since the 1990’s.  Pastor Caudle loves serving pastors and churches to reach the fullness of Christ in missions and evangelism from local context to globally.  Pastor Caudle’s heart has always been for Southern Maryland, the church, the community, and the witness of God’s greatness to all people.  Along with certification in Biblical Studies and Theology from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, Pastor Caudle holds a Bachelor of Theology from Omega Bible Seminary.

Pastor Caudle is married to Kay Caudle, current Administrator of the PBA.  Kay was born in La Plata, Maryland and has served the PBA for over ten years in her current position.  Married for thirty years, they are blessed with two daughters, a son-in-law, and a beautiful grandchild.  Together they serve the Lord believing He has equipped them to share His gospel and blessings and to build up the church partnership and cooperation that is the Potomac Baptist Association.
