PBA MISSIONS PRIORITY TEAM REPORT 2017
As of October 19, 2017, the PBA Missions Team has assisted 83 church members from PBA churches with Mission Trip Scholarships, representing 13 different PBA churches which include:
Bayside Baptist Church
First Baptist of Waldorf
First Baptist of Welcome
Iglesia Bautista De Waldorf
Lexington Park Baptist
Potomac Heights Baptist
Redeeming Grace Baptist
Southern Calvert Baptist
The Church @ St. Charles
These churches are touching 8 nations (Africa, Egypt, France, Germany, Haiti, India, Mexico, and Panama) and 4 states in the USA (Bath, ME; Glouster, VA; Pikeville, KY; and North East, MD).
The Mission Team will be gleaning information and looking into future mission opportunities and partnerships in Puerto Rico. Several of our PBA churches have expressed a desire to network on mission there.
The PBA Mission team would like to receive more feedback next year from those who receive help so that we can report the exciting news of what the Lord does next year. If you receive financial help to go on mission next year, please give a report to the PBA or to the PBA Mission Priority Team at email@example.com. Here are some testimonies from PBA Church team members who received PBA funds to go on mission.
•I wanted to personally thank the PBA for their generous support of the Southern Calvert Baptist Church Mission trip to Los Mochis, Mexico. This was the first Mission Trip for the wife and I and we were overwhelmed by the sheer joy of spreading the gospel and the love of Jesus Christ to the children of Los Mochis. We had a wonderful team led by Pastor Steve Fehrman and were graciously hosted by Pastor Julio Espinoza and his lovely wife Marisol. Your support afforded an opportunity that is beyond monetary value and on behalf of June and I, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Mark Lucas
•It is with a full heart I write this letter of thanks for your financial and prayerful help in my recent short term mission trip to Mexico. I was personally enriched and encouraged to participate, and considered it a great privilege to represent our Lord, and this association before the children of Los Mochis.
I believe as a team we accomplished a number of things. We touched the lives of nearly 300 children (maybe a little more) by the love of the Lord. It was truly a pleasure to work with them in the crafts of the Vacation Bible School (VBS) that we brought to them; and to see and react to the smiles and love they gave to us… Another accomplishment was to help parents know and understand the gospel, and help apply it to their own lives. We gave the same VBS twice a day in two different locations. The help we gave parents was especially evident at La Roca, where a well-established church is located, and where I had the pleasure to serve last year… A third accomplishment was to come along side and encourage the church located in Los Mochis. These are brothers and sisters in Christ who truly love the Lord, work very hard and sacrifice much from their personal time, resources and finances to lift up and glorify God and His son Jesus the Christ. They deserve to have the encouragement and resources we have available to help them along in their work for God; and it was a privilege to do that very thing… I close with a very big THANK YOU, and wish the best of God’s blessings on each of you and the association.
